Excellence in every pineapple,
responsibility in every action.
Veracruz offers ideal natural conditions for cultivating exceptionally high-quality MD2 pineapples. We have 1,200 hectares of productive land advantageously located in this region, allowing us to benefit from its suitable tropical climate, soils with exceptional physical and chemical properties, and a hydrographic system that provides superior quality water for our irrigation.

Our Production
The production of MD2 pineapples begins with meticulous soil preparation. To ensure optimal growing conditions, we conduct a thorough soil analysis to identify and correct any physical and chemical deficiencies. Next, we incorporate soil amendments that enhance its structure, increase its water retention capacity, raise its organic matter content, and improve nutrient availability.
Drip irrigation, the system used in all our crops, is essential. This technology ensures that all our plants receive the exact amount of water they need, at the right time, reducing unnecessary losses and reinforcing the environmental sustainability of our work.

INTEGRATED PLANT, DISEASE AND WEED MANAGEMENT

We protect our plants using a comprehensive and responsible approach. Weed control is carried out through mechanical and selective methods, combined with cultural practices that respect the natural balance of our fields.
For pests, we apply integrated management with an emphasis on preventative methods: constant monitoring, biological control, and the rational use of inputs. Every decision is made considering the health of the fruit, the ecosystem, and those who consume it.
FERTILIZATION AND NUTRITION
The nutrition of our pineapples is both an art and a science. We conduct regular soil and foliage analyses to design a precise and efficient fertilization plan. We apply nutrients in the exact amounts and at key moments of vegetative and productive development.
This precision in nutrition translates into fruits with:
Higher content of natural sugars (14° Brix)
Improved texture and firmness
Longer post-harvest shelf life
Reduced dependence on chemical inputs

FLORAL INDUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT
OF THE FRUIT
Once the plants reach the required maturity, we induce flowering in a controlled manner. This is a critical moment that requires precision: we adjust temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors to achieve uniform and robust flowering.
Protection is key. Our plants are covered with plastic shade netting starting one month before flowering. This measure protects both the plant and the developing fruit from:
Excessive solar radiation that causes burns and deformities
Specific pests that attack during development
Sudden fluctuations in temperature and humidity
Damage from heavy rain, strong winds and hail

OUR FRUIT ON YOUR TABLE
When you purchase a Kiana Produce pineapple, you receive the result of a chain of decisions committed to excellence:
✓ Superior consistency — Rigorous control at every stage
✓ Natural sweetness — 14° Brix with no artificial concentration
✓ True maturity — Harvested at its peak
✓ Enviable safety — World-class hygiene and quality practices
✓ Real sustainability — Smaller carbon footprint, lower water consumption
Our process respects the environment and those who will consume the fruit. Every pineapple that leaves our fields is an act of trust: trust that we did the right thing, every day, from beginning to end.
FRUIT HANDLING AT HARVEST
AND POST-HARVEST
Harvest time is the moment of truth. We monitor each batch daily to identify the exact point of optimal ripeness, evaluating sugar, acidity, translucency, and both internal and external color.
When everything is ripe, our team harvests the fruit entirely by hand with meticulous care, immediately transporting it to the packing facility. Each piece is treated as if it were destined for your table—no bruising, no scratches, no crushing at any point.
The shade netting that protected the fruit during its development has an additional benefit: the fruit arrives at the packing facility with an average internal temperature of just 5°C, compared to other methods. This accelerates post-harvest cooling and significantly reduces energy consumption, lessening our environmental impact.
The freshest produce, from the field to your table. It's not just a slogan— it's a promise.
that we fulfilled.
